I’ve bought vellum paper and tried it out with a rapidograph .35.
My sister commented that this drawing looks like a portrait of my mother as a young woman that I recently saw in her house. She was right, but I hadn’t realized it until she mentioned it. It surprised me, because I hadn’t thought of that picture while I was drawing.
Maybe, I thought, our drawings are like dreams, and surface recent experiences that are meaningful and touch us.
